The Connecticut Sun began its time in the WNBA as the Orlando Miracle in 1998. The team was given a new name when it was purchased by the Connecticut’s Mohegan Tribe and relocated to the New England state. The Sun has experienced ups and downs through the years, from making the playoffs to coming in last. The team features some of the best players in basketball today— including DiJonai Carrington and Alyssa Thomas. Coached by Rachid Meziane, the Sun is considered one of the top teams in the women’s league despite never winning a championship. Part of the WNBA series, Connecticut Sun tells the story of this team’s most thrilling highs and deepest lows.
