Cesar Chavez

The story of Cesar Chavez and the founding of the United Farm Workers is well known. But what has gone largely untold is the story of a gutsy young woman named Dolores Huerta, who spent her life alongside Chavez fighting for the rights of farm workers all over the United States. When Chavez died in 1993, it was Huerta who vowed to carry on the fight. Now in her seventies, she still marches for the cause, and despite some insurmountable obstacles, has been responsible for considerable improvement in the lives of those workers whose collective voice has barely been heard.
